JINDAL NATURECURE INSTITUTE (Formerly INYS) Bangalore. ( www.jindalnaturecure.org )

Started in 1979, JNI is a charitable naturopathy hospital having a bed strength of 270 including 50 beds in free ward. Patients in other wards are charged at heavily subsidised rates. The Nature Cure Hospital has earned world-wide acclaim in rendering service to patients suffering from various types of diseases like asthma, diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, migraine, all abdomen/liver problems etc. without using any kind of medicine, injection, surgery etc. The treatment is based on judicious of the ancient concept of nature cure and yoga with modern diagnostic equipments, gymnasium, physiotherapy and treatment aids. It attracts thousands of people from different parts of the country besides patients from all over the world.   It has provided effective relief/ cure to patients, most of whom feel very happy and satisfied. The institute always remains over booked and there is a long queue for admission.

MANAV CHARITABLE HOSPITAL (MCH) Bangalore.

This is a full-fledged charitable allopathic hospital  established to meet the medical needs of poor people in rural areas. It is well equipped with latest and sophisticated diagnostic equipments including full-fledged modern laboratory, CT Scan, Ultrasound, X-ray etc. Medical and para-medical staff who are well trained and qualified render services in various specialties like eye, ENT, dental, skin, orthopedic, gynecology etc. The hospital is well equipped for taking care of any emergency. Thousands of people living in neighbouring villages who were so long deprived of basic medical facilities are benefited. Consultation, dispensing of medicines, operations etc. are done absolutely free irrespective of caste, creed, religion, status etc. Eye operations are conducted free of cost. Even eye glasses and IOL are provided free of cost. In addition, the hospital is rendering free services in the field of family planning, child immunization and health education. Presently, there is a turnout of about 500 out-patients per day.
The has recently introduced mammography in the hospital to detect breast cancer among rural women who are mostly ignorant about this deadly disease.  Cases at the initial stage are operated upon in the hospital itself free of cost.
The Hospital also renders free medical services at the doorsteps of villagers of the neighbouring villages within a radius of 50  km by extending its two mobile medical clinics and holding medical camps.  The mobile clinics cover almost 35 villages in a week and treat more than 350 patients daily.

JINDAL CHARITABLE HOSPITAL (JCH) Bangalore.

Started in 1987, the hospital is run by Jindal Hospital Society at Rajajinagar, Bangalore a location predominantly comprising urban-poor and lower middle class. On an average 600 out-patients are treated in this hospital daily. A team of 30 dedicated doctors and para-medical/other staff provide treatment facilities in the hospital effectively and efficiently. Besides out patients, the hospital offers facilities like physiotherapy, X-ray, ECG, minor operations and ultrasound scan. All consultations and medicines are provided free of cost to the patients

MANAV SEVA POLYCLINIC (MSP) DELHI

The Foundation is also running a day care polyclinic at Delhi with ECG, X-ray and laboratory facilities.  Medicines and consultation are provided free of cost to all patients.  Around 200-250 patients a day avail the facilities at this polyclinic.

JINDAL PUBLIC SCHOOL (JPS) Bangalore.

Started by Jindal Education Society in 1968, it is a charitable school recognised by the State Education Department. It caters to the needs of the children from neighbouring villages. It is imparting education from LKG to 10th Standard in English medium. The present strength of the school is 1200. Since its inception, the results in the 10th Standard (SSLC) Board examinations are 100% pass with more than 98% in I Class. The school is run on purely charitable basis and no donation from any student is collected/accepted. On the contrary, it gives liberal fee exemption/concession, mid-day meals, uniforms etc. to the needy and deserving students.

JINDAL PRE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE (JPUC) Bangalore.

Pragun Jindal Educational Organisation started the Jindal Pre University College from the academic year 2003-04 which it imparts  education in Computer Science, Commerce and Science, The present strength of the college is 260 students from nearby villages.  The result in PU College during last two years has been excellent with 98% pass and more than 90% first class.

JINDAL DEGREE COLLEGE Bangalore.

Sitaram Jindal Foundation has planned to set up a degree college to provide higher education to rural poor children.  At present there is no college facility in a radius of 20 km.  The college will be started from Academic Year 2007-08.  It will run on charitable basis like other institutions of the Foundation.  The college will fulfill the long felt need of students from rural areas.

MAHILA ARTS & CRAFTS INSTITUTE (MACI) Bangalore.

This Institute is imparting free of cost training in tailoring, embroidery, typing and shorthand, computer education etc. for such category of women who are totally helpless, destitutes and economically backward so that they may become independent and use the training gained to earn their livelihood. The training is imparted free of cost. Stipend @ Rs.200/- p.m. is also paid to the students of tailoring  classes. A stipend of Rs.100/- p.m is paid to be students of embroidary classes. The Institute also provides sewing machines to the poor and needy women/girls at 50% cost of the machine to enable them to start earning on their own at their respective villages. Balance 50% is borne by the Foundation. 250 ladies are getting training round the year. The students passing out from this Institution are provided Certificates/Diplomas enabling them to get suitable jobs without any hitch.

CONSTRUCTION OF 100 SCHOOL BUILDINGS

The primary need for any society's prosperity is literacy. Identifying this as one of the major objectives, JAL decided to construct school buildings for facilitating imparting of education to rural children in at least 100 villages adopted by Foundation/JAL for meeting their three basic needs, i.e. education, potable water and medical facilities. School buildings in 110 villages have already been completed and handed over to the village panchayats. This is a continuous process. Every year, school buildings are constructed and handed over to State Government, who has posted necessary staff for running the same.
The Foundation/JAL have also dug borewells and constructed overhead water tanks in several villages to provide drinking water facility to the villagers.

BOOK DONATION SCHEME

The Foundation introduced Book Bank Scheme in 1991-92 and supplied valuable reference books worth Rs.37.00 lakhs to nearly 250 colleges and polytechnics situated in rural areas all over India. Under this scheme, each college is donated books ranging from Rs.15,000/- to Rs.50,000/- depending upon strength of the students and requirement of the college. The Foundation has donated books worth Rs.1.22 lakhs during 2002-03 and Rs.5.51 lakhs during 2004-05.

OTHER ACTIVITIES


A. NATIONAL AWARD SCHEME


The Foundation has recently come out with a scheme of awarding the persons of integrity and honesty who have done excellent work fearlessly, boldly and without coming under any pressure of the so called leaders or bureaucrats in the field of cleansing public life, prevention of corruption at higher level and promotion of moral/ethical values in the country. The Foundation has decided to give 10 awards of Rs.2 lakhs each every year. The awardees will be selected by a Jury consisting of eminent and impartial intellectuals including Supreme Court Judges and others, but excluding politicians, industrialists and bureaucrats as these three class of people have looted the country by bluffing and cheating the innocent people time and again. Some awards have already been given in February, 1997 February, 1998, March 1999 and March 2000 and rest will be given in Financial Year 2007-08.

B. GOLD MEDAL IN THE UNIVERSITIES

The Company has instituted 29 gold medals in 17 Universities/Colleges throughout the country, which give encouragement to the students for achieving excellence in education.

C. CRUSADE AGAINST EVILS

The Foundation is spreading campaign in a big way against various evils like smoking, alcohol, pan masala, zarda, drugs specially amongst the younger generation all over India.

D. SAWAN PUBLIC SCHOOL/INDUSTRIAL TRAINING INSTITUTE

The Foundation also started a residential public school, viz. Sawan Public School at Delhi and handed over to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan for running it professionally.  Also, it has established one Industrial Training Institute at Village Nalwa, Dist. Hisar, Haryana.

E. POPULATION CONTROL


The Foundation is further planning to come out in a big way in the area of population control (the single biggest problem remaining deliberately ignored by the Government) and prevention of corruption and deterioration of moral values at higher level, as these have totally paralysed the country’s progress.

F. TRAINING LEADERS ON MORAL VALUES

The Foundation has also planned to establish an “Institute of Higher Values” for the training of leaders (legislators, ministers) many of who are so selfish, immoral, corrupt, criminals - crooks.

G. FINANCIAL HELP FOR CRUSADE AGAINST CORRUPTION

The Foundation has offered financial help to organisations and individuals who are fighting against corruption and dragging the corrupt leaders, public servants and industrialists to courts sincerely and devotedly for their motherland but are handicapped for lack of funds.
